REVIVE THIS DEAD SUNNAT

REVIVE THIS DEAD SUNNAT
Among the sunnat practices to be observed on the Day of Eidul Adha, is the audible recitation of Takbeer-e-Tashreek along the route to the Musallaa (Eidgah) or the Musjid where the Eid Salaat will be performed.
While proceeding to the Musallaa, everyone should recite on his own (not in group form) Takbeer audibly. The recitation should continue until the Musallaa is reached. While waiting for the Eid Salaat, continue reciting the Takbeer silently or any other form of Thikrullaah.
It is improper to indulge unnecessarily in worldly conversation while proceeding to the Musallaa.
This Sunnat has been abandoned by the entire community with a few exceptions. Reviving a forgotten Sunnat is the equivalent of the reward of a hundred martyrs.
